Obituary
Obituary of Matthew Paul Mursch
Please share a memory of Matthew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Matthew Paul Mursch, 24, died on December 24, 2015, while on his last motorcycle ride. He loved that motorcycle along with his snowmobile and jetski.
Matthew was born March 28, 1991, the son of Kenneth and Sheila (Burrows) Mursch. He was a graduate of Westmoreland Central School. He had many jobs; the top one on his resume was being an Automotive Mechanic/Tow Truck Operator at Ken's Garage. His most recent job was at KDK in Rome where he was very happy and everyday was a good day. He said he finally had a job that was like a hobby. He spent three semesters on the Vice President's List at MVCC. With his welding skills, he was able to rebuild the wrecker body of the tow truck he drove which Dad had procrastinated fixing for many years. Thank you, Matthew; it would have never gotten done without you.
To know Matthew was to know a true gentleman. Matthew had a huge heart, and as per his wishes, he will live on as a tissue donor helping and touching many more lives. He also enjoyed his time as an EMT and volunteer fireman.
He leaves behind those who cherish him most; proud parents, Ken and Sheila; brother, Ken and Matt's niece, Shauna Love; sister, Kimberly and the girlies, Olivia and Alexia. He truly cherished his nieces. He also leaves behind grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousins, and his special friends at KDK.
He was predeceased by his best friend, canine Boo Boo, and Pa and Ma.
Thank you to all those who assisted Matthew in his time of need. His lasting wish would be that all become tissue and organ donors.
