There are no words that can describe our sadness over Matthew’s sudden and tragic death. To lose a son- particularly at such a young age- is beyond human comprehension or understanding. We pray for the Lord to comfort you in this time of such deep sorrow. We pray as well that in the midst of this tragedy, you will understand how much you are loved by all of those who have reached out to comfort you. In reading through the many notes left online, it is obvious that you raised a son who was a quiet force for good in the lives of many whom he crossed paths with. I was one of Matt's professor's at MVCC. I would like his parents to know that he was a very focused, ambitious, motivated, and driven young man. Being a teacher for many years, I could tell what students had "it". "It" pertains to becoming a very successful person achieving his/her goals. Matt definitely had "it," and I choked up a little after hearing of this news. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Your a great friend when I needed ya for an assistant for anything small engine or just to have. I had a lot of great memories at the casino with ya buddy and will continue. My first drink to start every weekend will go up to you and never be forgotten brother.
