Obituary of Mary A Lenhardt

Mary A. Lenhardt, 85, passed away February 15, 2018 at the Masonic Home. She was born in Utica on November 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Boyd) Lenhardt. She graduated from RIT and received her Master's Degree from Buffalo State University. Mary was an art teacher in Gilbertsville and Morris Central School, retiring after 30 years. Mary loved painting and photography and had founded the Butternut Valley Arts & Crafts Association. She truly loved the Adirondacks, especially Third Lake and lived there for many years. Mary embraced Adirondack living with a passion, enjoying fishing, boating and living by the water. She is survived by her nephews, Joseph Lenhardt of Whitesboro and Andrew and Kristin Lenhardt of Albany; her special friend Pat Bobrow; and friend Donna Moss. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Janice Lenhardt Jr, sister Jeanne Sullivan, and nephew Michael Lenhardt. A Memorial Service will be held at 5pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Her burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
