Obituary of John F. Zinkovitch
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John F. Zinkovitch, Sr., 53, of Herkimer passed away at home on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
John was born in Albany, NY on March 10, 1963 the Son of James Zinkovitch, Sr. and Lois Edwards. He was a graduate of New Hartford High School and longtime resident of Herkimer.
John was engaged to the love of his life Christine Biamonte. She was his rock and his joy, and she influenced John to be the best man and father he could.
John was an avid motorcyclist and loved to spend time riding his Harley. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting, boating, skeet shooting, traveling, and many other activities. John devoted much of his time to his work where he made too many friends to mention. He spent many years working for Russ at Oriskany Garage and Tire and spent the last eleven years working for Rich Terpening at Terpening Trucking.
He is survived by loving family; mother, Lois Edwards; father and stepmother, James and Irene Zinkovitch, Sr.; children, John and Stacy, Nicole and Michael, Karol Ann, Ashley and Brandon, Emily and Michael, Todd Boudreau; brother and sisters, James Jr., Deborah, Mark, Todd, Katherine her daughter Jasmine and granddaughter Isabella; brother-in-law, David Biamonte; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Michael Jr., Thomas, Devon, Liam, and Owen.
John had many friends throughout his life. He was especially close to friends Dave Kendall, Doug Gross, Sergio and Keycey, Mark and Deb, John Lapenta, and Scooby. John also had a special bond with Christine's son-in-law Brandon.
A few years ago John was left behind by a good friend, Dave Hoole, who he enjoyed spending time with greatly. We know John is happy because he finally gets the chance to have a beer with his good friend again.
