Ann D. Acee, 100, passed away peacefully at the Martin Luther Home on March 8, 2016.
She was born to Anna and Thomas Kozlowski in Forest City, PA on January 18, 1916. She and her family moved to Clinton, NY in the early 1920's and then to Clark Mills where she received her high school education and lived most of her life. She worked at the Hotel Utica and Remington Arms for many years before her marriage to her lifelong sweetheart George Acee in 1948. They were united in marriage for 40 years until his death in 1988. Ann was a member of Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills.
She is predeceased by her two brothers and their wives, Walter and Marion Kozlowski and Thomas and Genevieve Kozlowski, her sister and brother-in-law Daniel and Jessie Morrel and her brother-in-law Peter Carparelli.
Ann is survived by her dearest and closest sister Frances Carparelli who she shared a lifelong bond of love, joy and commitment. In addition, she is survived by her loving sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cynthia Acee of Sauquoit, NY and George Acee of Whitesboro, NY; a granddaughter Lesley Ann and a grandson Matthew both of Sauquoit.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Martin Luther Nursing Home's Applewood unit for the kindness and loving care given to their mother during her stay there.
An expression of condolences can be offered to the family at Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10am, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am. Private family burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton.
