My God Father My Uncle
Harry Cresswell
I was sixteen when my dad passed away our uncles were the only men in our life's.Uncle Harry would never let me forget that he was my god father he would always say to me you know i am your god father. He always made me feel like he was so proud of this and I have to say that it always made me feel so very special.I loved the way he would talk through his teeth and the way he laughed.I can still see him.He always wanted to know how I was is everything ok,you happy, you need anything let me know.Any time I was upset he would say oh don't worry about that it is not worth it.I told him I was sorry for not seeing him for a while you don't have to be sorry for anything.I loved to listen to him tell some of the things he did growing up there was some wild times.I surely will miss those stories as much as I will miss him.Loosing you uncle Harry is like loosing my dad all over again.I am so glad you were my god father you surely fit the role.Thank you for always being there for me then and I know you will be with me always.
Love Your
God Daughter
Debbie

There are no words that can adequately express the deep and abiding sense of loss so many will feel with Harry's passing. When I first met him, he and Babe welcomed me into their home when others were not so inclined. They did this with kindness and a generosity of spirit that forever affected how I would feel about them in years to come. Harry and his lovely wife, Babe have touched so many lives, and while Bill and I are just a small part of that lucky group, Harry always made each of us feel special. Anyone who truly knew Harry, knows exactly what I'm talking about. He had a way about him that reassured in times of trouble, made you laugh in times of sadness and a kindness in his soul that is so very rare in today's world. If there was to be a family gathering, the first words out of our mouths were always, "Will Babe and Harry be there?" Later our kids asked the same question. You see, love breeds love, and Harry always sowed the seeds.
Aunt Babe, we love you, grieve with you and pray for you. Uncle Harry will be in our hearts long after we all pass from this world. We're honored to have been a part of his life, thankful to have known him and called him family.
Love, Barb and Bill
