Alan Raymond Weil, 91, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012, in Americus, GA.
He was born on May 17, 1921, in Plattsburgh, NY, the son of Jane Hazel Gilbert and Fredrick Raymond Weil. He was a chemical engineer with Union Carbide and served in the US Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Ralph Hospodarsky of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Henry Gilbert Weil of Raleigh, NC; sister, Shirley Sollinger of Boulder, CO; two grandchildren, Bethany Hospodarsky of Indianapolis, IN and Keith Hospodarsky of Kenosha, WI; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen Fredonia Coker Weil.
Funeral services will be held at 10am Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Stone Presbyterian Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. There will be no public calling hours.
