Robert C Cullen, Sr, age 75, of Limberlost Road, died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 1, 2012, surrounded by his family. Bob was born December 24, 1936, in Utica, NY, the son of the late Lyndon and Helen (Price) Cullen. He married Kathleen Gates. He served in the US Army when called to active duty during the Cuban Missle Crisis. He retired from Special Metals in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter Michelle Burkle of Verona; two sons Robert and Tammy Cullen of Vernon and Michael Cullen of Clinton and Tracey Beck of Clark Mills; son-in-law, Brian Burkle Sr. of Vernon Center; four grandchildren Brian Burkle Jr, Amanda Burkle, Madison Cullen and Zachary Cullen; a sister Jean Vaughan and her husband Richard of FL; two half-sisters, Helena and Brian Mackin and Cathy and Leo Mackin of Richfield Springs; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rosemary and Raymond Gagnon, Alfred and Brenda Gates and Richard Adaszczyk; many nieces and nephews; and his canine friend, Sidney. He was predeceased by his parents and a half-sister, June Adaszczyk. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 9am on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Green Lawn Cemetery, New Hartford. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Home, Inc. Clinton, NY.
