Condolences to the Family & Friends of Mark,
Mark and I were not only"Brother's in Blue", but also partner's in UPD Cornhill Car 77 for a time. I remember him fondly on and off duty. He also rode with me, while off duty, once assisting Lt Dennis Carr in the capture of three armed NYS Prison escapees. They overpowered a Prison bus and guard,on the NYS Thruway, stole his weapon then a car near Schuyler, NY and were apprehended near Prospect NY.
This is just one of many heroic events Mark was involved with, most of which went unnoticed and unhearalded. He then went on to become Chief of Police in a town near Syracuse and an Investigator for NYS, protecting victim's from dangerous, unscupulous medical practioneers for malpractice.
Though not large in stature, he was huge in toughness,,character, professionalism and Integrity. One of his favorite saying's I'll never forget..." I am not easily programmable".
RIP old friend.
